Moving from the High North to one of the world’s most vibrant urban hubs, we are bringing our expertise in Deposit Return Systems (DRS) to Southeast Asia. This project represents a critical step in Singapore’s journey toward a zero-waste future, implementing high-efficiency technology to manage beverage container recovery in a dense urban environment.

Building the Future from the Ground Up: A Greenfield DRS Project in the Faroe Islands. At Nordic Recycling Systems, we are proud to be involved from the very beginning of a landmark project: the first Greenfield Deposit Return System (DRS) in the Faroe Islands. Being part of a Greenfield development means we have been on board from the initial stages, designing and implementing a system where nothing existed before. This project represents more than just a new installation; it marks the start of an exciting new era for the Faroe Islands and their commitment to the circular economy.

Installing a new robotic line, without stopping production! We’ve successfully completed the installation of a state-of-the-art robotic line at the same site as the previous system. This upgrade was executed with precision planning, allowing the old line to keep running while the new equipment was being assembled and commissioned. The result? Minimal downtime, maximum efficiency. By managing the transition in parallel, we ensured continuous operations while introducing advanced automation that will significantly boost capacity and reliability.

At the DRS facility in Fredericia, Denmark, Nordic Recycling Systems has delivered an advanced closed-loop air conveying system that automatically plasic bags. The solution ensures efficient material flow, reduces manual handling, and supports high-capacity operations while maintaining a clean, reliable, and sustainable recycling process.

Expanding the Circular Frontier: Partnering with Infinitum in the High North. At Nordic Recycling Systems, we are incredibly proud of our close collaboration with Infinitum in establishing what is arguably the world’s northernmost Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) facility.
