This facility is more than just a technical installation; it represents a shared commitment to environmental stewardship in a unique and challenging climate. By bringing advanced sorting technology to the High North, we are ensuring that even the most remote regions are integrated into a world-class circular economy. > > Working alongside the experts at Infinitum has been a rewarding journey, and we are honored to contribute to a project that sets a new geographic and operational benchmark for the industry.       # Bjerkvik We’ve reached a new geographic milestone! This is potentially the northernmost Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) facility in the world, proving that the circular economy knows no borders. # The Deposit Return System (DRS) > **Closing the Loop in Northern Norway** Operating a DRS system in the northernmost parts of Norway comes with its own set of challenges. However, through innovation and partnership, we have developed a facility that efficiently handles beverage containers in the region. This strengthens the national recycling network and significantly reduces the environmental footprint of the local beverage industry.       - ![DJI\_0333](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Pictures/DJI_0333.jpg?width=5472&height=3648&name=DJI_0333.jpg) - ![DJI\_0332](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Pictures/DJI_0332.jpg?width=5472&height=3648&name=DJI_0332.jpg) - ![DJI\_0294](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Pictures/DJI_0294.jpg?width=5472&height=3648&name=DJI_0294.jpg) - ![DJI\_0259](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Pictures/DJI_0259.jpg?width=5472&height=3648&name=DJI_0259.jpg) - ![DJI\_0240](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Pictures/DJI_0240.jpg?width=5472&height=3648&name=DJI_0240.jpg) - ![DJI\_0223](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Pictures/DJI_0223.jpg?width=5472&height=3648&name=DJI_0223.jpg) # Would you like to know more? ![Uten tittel-3](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Pictures/Uten%20tittel-3.png?width=2000&height=2000&name=Uten%20tittel-3.png "Uten tittel-3") Harald Haug CEO CEO +47 416 38 710 [hh@nordic-recycling.com](mailto:hh@nordic-recycling.com) ![NRS\_Logo\_NRS\_Sirkel\_BW](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/NRS_Logos/NRS_Logo_NRS_Sirkel_BW.png?width=100&height=100&name=NRS_Logo_NRS_Sirkel_BW.png) - - - - [mailto:hello@nordic-recycling.com](mailto:hello@nordic-recycling.com) - Consulting - [Return Waste Management](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/rwm-consulting) - Products - [AirConveying](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/airconveying) - [DeWatering](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/dewatreing) - [Robotics](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/robotics) - Service - [Maintenence](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/service) - [Helpdesk](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/service) - About - [History](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/history) ©2026 Nordic Recycling Systems.
