This project represents more than just a new installation; it marks the start of an exciting new era for the Faroe Islands and their commitment to the circular economy.   ![20251124\_130949](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Pictures/20251124_130949.jpg?width=2000&height=1126&name=20251124_130949.jpg) ![20251126\_115006](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Pictures/20251126_115006.jpg?width=2000&height=1126&name=20251126_115006.jpg) ![20251126\_114630](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Pictures/20251126_114630.jpg?width=2000&height=1126&name=20251126_114630.jpg) ![20251125\_114059](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Pictures/20251125_114059.jpg?width=2000&height=1126&name=20251125_114059.jpg) ## Project Installation Installation period: Jan **Jan-Mar 2026** Status: **Ongoing** Location: **The Faroe Islands**   # Colaboration & Solution > A project of this scale requires strong local expertise, and we have been fortunate to work alongside IRF (Interkommunalur Renovationsfelagsskapur), the Faroe Islands' premier intermunicipal waste management company. > > The collaboration between Nordic Recycling Systems and IRF has been characterized by professional synergy and a shared vision.       # The Faroe Islands By operating in the middle of the North Atlantic we believe that sustainability should have no boundaries. However, our robust technology ensures that even in isolated island communities, high-efficiency bottle and can recycling is not just possible, but seamless. # The Deposit Return System (DRS) > By combining our specialized DRS technology with IRF’s extensive experience in local waste management, we have ensured that the new sorting infrastructure is perfectly adapted to the islands' needs. > > We are proud to partner with such a forward-thinking organization to deliver a world-class recycling solution for the Faroese people.       - ![IMG-20251210-WA0007](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Pictures/IMG-20251210-WA0007.jpg?width=2040&height=1148&name=IMG-20251210-WA0007.jpg) - ![20251126\_084507](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Pictures/20251126_084507.jpg?width=4000&height=2252&name=20251126_084507.jpg) - ![20251126\_083419](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Pictures/20251126_083419.jpg?width=4000&height=2252&name=20251126_083419.jpg) - ![20251125\_112820](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Pictures/20251125_112820.jpg?width=4000&height=2252&name=20251125_112820.jpg) - ![20251124\_130949](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Pictures/20251124_130949.jpg?width=4000&height=2252&name=20251124_130949.jpg) - ![20251126\_125235-EDIT](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Pictures/20251126_125235-EDIT.jpg?width=3964&height=1591&name=20251126_125235-EDIT.jpg) - ![20251124\_153817-EDIT](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Pictures/20251124_153817-EDIT.jpg?width=2994&height=1691&name=20251124_153817-EDIT.jpg) - ![20251126\_110742](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Pictures/20251126_110742.jpg?width=4000&height=2252&name=20251126_110742.jpg) - ![20251126\_084129](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/20251126_084129.jpg?width=4000&height=2252&name=20251126_084129.jpg) # Would you like to know more? ![Uten tittel-3](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Pictures/Uten%20tittel-3.png?width=2000&height=2000&name=Uten%20tittel-3.png "Uten tittel-3") Harald Haug CEO CEO +47 416 38 710 [hh@nordic-recycling.com](mailto:hh@nordic-recycling.com) ![Uten tittel-2](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Pictures/Uten%20tittel-2.png?width=2000&height=2000&name=Uten%20tittel-2.png "Uten tittel-2") Nils Wilhelm Aulie CPO - Chief Project Officer +47 901 81 555 [nwa@nordic-recycling.com](mailto:hh@nordic-recycling.com) ![Uten tittel-4](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Pictures/Uten%20tittel-4.png?width=2000&height=2000&name=Uten%20tittel-4.png "Uten tittel-4") Anders Engebakken CTO - Chief Technical Officer +47 995 73 850 [ae@nordic-recycling.com](mailto:hh@nordic-recycling.com) ![NRS\_Logo\_NRS\_Sirkel\_BW](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/hs-fs/hubfs/NRS_Logos/NRS_Logo_NRS_Sirkel_BW.png?width=100&height=100&name=NRS_Logo_NRS_Sirkel_BW.png) - - - - [mailto:hello@nordic-recycling.com](mailto:hello@nordic-recycling.com) - Consulting - [Return Waste Management](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/rwm-consulting) - Products - [AirConveying](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/airconveying) - [DeWatering](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/dewatreing) - [Robotics](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/robotics) - Service - [Maintenence](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/service) - [Helpdesk](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/service) - About - [History](https://www.nordic-recycling.com/history) ©2026 Nordic Recycling Systems.
